Stuck impeller

Any good tricks on how to extract a stuck impeller from a water pump?

Try placing two screwdrivers, one on each side of the impeller so that the blades dig in to the rubber centre slightly and you should be able to lever against the side of the housing. Need to be careful not to damage the edge of the housing.
Worked fine on mine at the weekend.

Somebody (Jabsco?) sells a puller designed to do just this.

Be careful not to pull the spindle/driveshaft out with the impeller. If you do, you may damage the seals.
