Dear Idiot,

Do you really think? I could actually leave that question there couldn't I? Do you think?

Realistically do you think that kind of interruption will do your business any good at all? I mean you see the word mooring and off you go shouting at us in the most patronising manner I have seen for a long time in a spam advert, because that is exactly what you are, a spammer, you have no business accruement and think this is a sure fire way to bring in new business.

What you have actually done is to scare off a whole section of the boating fraternity who will now view you as an underhand internet spamming business and believe me most of us have had it up to here with spammers. I hope Kim leaves this thread on to show the world what people think they can get away with stealing other companies bandwidth to post illegal adverts.

Thank you and good night !

p.s. oh, surprise you are from the USA, enough said!

Here a similar thing is called pile moorings, I don't know if that is the right name. In Venice the poles are actually used to seperate the gondalas and the like similar to a parking space, the boats actually rest up against them don't they?

Sorry to waste your time, as I don't have a clue.

Just requested a quote for ground tackle, riser, mooring bouy, pickup bouy and bow, stern and springer lines for my boat. Let the little arse-wipe waste his time preparing a quotation.

We should all ask for quotations and quote where we saw the advert then after we get the quote, tell them "sorry too expensive, I've got a better deal else where"

Come on - it only take a few minutes. Let's see how arse-wipe likes being on the receiving end

How near is it to the pub? Upstream or downstream and which side of the river? Paul

To return to the original question, I'm not sure if the mooring posts have the same name as the navigational ones, but these are called briccole.
If you go to the site, below, there's a map of them in the Venetian lagoon, as well as lots of aerial photos.

hope this helps
