Stragglers Yacht Club

Whilst we do have a Sailing Club at Southwold we have very few yachts.
As a result there are no rallies, cruises let alone races.
I wondered if there are any Clubs in the region that cater for stragglers such as I.

The issue is that apart from the annual jaunt to where ever for 10 days, there's little motivation to commit to go anywhere and as a result I waste weekends during the season not going sailing because the conditions are not quite right, when in fact they are fine.

Last year some disaster or another would descend on us to stop us going to the few events we had put on the calendar.
This year I find I have nothing on the calendar so far on my own boat.

9th July, The Fox's Marina Yacht Club 2 Rivers Event, huge amount of fun open to all sailing craft, with a BBQ and music in the evening at Fox's.
Details will be published soon.
Prizes from our sponsors which usually include Jeckells, Fox's, and Dolphin Sails, amongst others. Entry fee normally £20/boat with proceeds from the weekend going to club funds.
You will need a good rowing dinghy, someone who can run to and from a club or pub bar, and a sense of humour.
We usually get entrants from all over the Orwell/Stour area.
Would make a nice weekend outing for you.

What are the mooring fees at Fox's these days for a visiting 11m ?
