Stiff engine control

I have the above engine control on Minerva and after the winter it's very stiff to move. I have disconnected the cables at the back and concluded its neither the cables or the engine that has siezed but the above control box.

Can anyone advise on how to free it up?

I ad similar on my last yacht. The enchantment is very simple. I would try a Ptfe based penetrating oil, and simply work the stuff in. Any decent candlers should have some Ptfe lubricant spray.

Thanks chaps. Managed to free up the throttle just nicely with some grease and persistence.

I will work on the gear lever next week!
