stantion cables/ropes?

i need to replace my stantion cable round my boat so that no one falls in!

looking for a supplier of stainless cable/rope, who can make these to length and fit the threaded bits that go into the bottle screw adjusters.

any ideas?

Ask at you local chandlery. Seateach in Emsworth made mine but you shouldn't have to go that far.

You could always try a rigging firm.

The threaded ends are attached with a screw fitting olive, it is a DIY type job, all the components are avaiable at the chandlers. When you see how they are assembled you will kick yourself (as I did) at there simplicity.

Unless you are feeling lazy and want to get a rigger to do it for you.

On most boats...

On most boats, the fittings are swaged on to the stainless wire, and this isn't a DIY job! There are screw-type terminals as you describe, but they tend to be a bit chunkier in appearance.
