I need to replace the zips on my stack-pack, but have no idea as how to measure what I have.
Is there a standard for zip dimensions e.g. Teeth per meter etc?
Anybody sourced good ones?
Thank you

The commonest size used for covers is 10mm. That's 10mm measured across the teeth with the zipper closed but best measure what you have.

I recently bought some from Pointnorth aka Profabrics (see website) but you can get them from Kayospruce ,Fareham.

Here https://www.profabrics.co.uk/pages/zipping-velcro we did ours with 10mm. Just check with them what you will need to cut to size and dont forget there are different types from the point of view of closing them. The lady there is very good, give her a bell.
We did ours, a 38ft boat with a 4.5 mtr boom, 10mm

If you're an amateur like me you'd do well to get some double - sided tape to fix the zippers in position before you start sewing. It makes the work much easier.

Came across a slider for a largish zip made of I think stainless steel. No idea of source. Seems ideal as ali sliders corrode easily and plastic breaks up in the sun or with age. The link above shows sliders but only "metal" presumably ali also. Any one know of a source of SS sliders. ol'will
