There are literally dozens of companies that can make you a spray hood. Most areas where there is yachting activity you will find canvas workers, often linked to sail makers who will come and measure up your boat and make exactly what you want.

If you say where the boat is located, no doubt somebody will be able to make recommendations in that area.

Thanks, the boat is located in West Cork - Ireland
The local sailmaker will make a sail cover only - not a spray hood
The only other comapny in Ireland, that I have found is also reluctant to offer a spray hood.
I know that there are many companies in the UK specialising in spray hoods and I have contacted 2 of them - no quote back yet.

The problem that you will find is that any reputable sprayhood maker will want to visit your boat in order to measure it, to ensure that the sprayhood fits correctly. Keep trying to find someone local to you!

Saturn Sails at Largs on the Clyde did a good one for me. But I doubt if they'd consider a job in Ireland.

Jeckells did mine using the original frame but they visited the boat once to measure, second time to try it out and fine tune measurements then third time to fit the finished article. Thoroughly recomended although Ireland is probably not in their area. Surprised your sailmaker won't do it - all the ones over here we asked for a quote were delighted to have a go.

Where about in West Cork, I was in Crosshaven boatyard marina back in May and there was an advert for canvas work in brokers portocabin. Sorry, cannot remember the name, but a call to the marina office may help.
Mine's getting done by a guy who lives on a barge at Liverpool Marina, very good price

I got a mail order one- bars plus the canvas.
Not that impressed. The hood fitted droopy like Maggie May's drawers.
Also left, unavoidably, to the boat owner to trim fit and hem edges to the coachroof - turned out very crude but that was my fault.
All in all supplier and me between us have turned out a functional but ragged and sloppy result.
Wish I'd persevered with a local measure and fit firm but the several I tried couldn't be bothered.
Be aware of the drawbacks and be prepared to send it back if unsatisfactory.
