That article may have been written by a journalist. You can't expect them to get every little detail, like names and places, correct.

You may know what the ECP is, but we don't.. There is no point in using initials if nobody understand them - You have a communication problem

It's not that obscure David. East Coast Pilot is almost de rigueur (that's yer actual french) for sailing round here and I for one can recommend it so it's almost like saying M&S.......! Although we always used to explain acronyms in official documents first time we used them so there was no confusion. If you haven't used it, sneak a look in the local chandlers and you'll see what a first class guide it is to East Coast Sailing.
