How does that compare to the a Jeanneau Prestige 50s simmillary equiped? I've got a feeling it comes in a £100k cheaper than the Absolute?

Basic J 50s (and I mean basic!) is around £400k add all the options like leather, genny upgrade, nav equipment, delivery, passerelle and a long list of stuff you would want and its about £20k cheaper but it anit IPS and a smaller boat overall plus no saloon up thingy its still and open sports crusier. Good boat though and handles very nice (for a shafty that is /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

It\'s much simpler than that

Most people purchasing sport cruiser have no or very little sea experience, in the first place.
That's a well known fact, in the marine industry.
They usually don't even care about building it up - they just want to enjoy sunny days and show off a bit, occasionally with friends.
Short coastal cruises are the rule, any trip above a hundred miles or so being a very rare exception.
Cruising at night is not even considered.
Of course they could do all of the above with a flybridge, and then some.
But sport cruisers are nicer.
That's the only true reason why they sell.

Got to skipper that SC agian tomorrow for photo shoot. They wanted somefing sleek for the sexy girls to pose on.


Diary note:- get to Marina at least an hour earlier than usual to retie the boat several feet from the pontoon, remove tender and other crap from garage phew...
then do engine checks, return crap & tender retie the boat. Wipe sweat of brow and smile for the girls.
