I'm about to order some parts and want to add various split pins to take the value above the free postage level. Does anyone know the typical sizes for the rigging on an 11m yacht (Starlight 35)?

3mm will go though an 1/8 inch hole, but 1/8 inch will not go through 3mm. Some of my rigging took 1/8 inch split pins, but some would only take 3mm. I would either get 3mm or buy an assortment, but if you don't have the monel wire, buy that.I find I use 1/8" more than anything else.
Add a roll of Monel seizing wire. One size only.
Why not? honest question. The advantages IMHO: it's always the right size, it's easy to hide the ends and never have a sharp edge sticking out; it's easier to rig when pottering around at 15m up .Seizing wire is for seizing, it isn't a replacement for the right sized split pin.

"With open style turnbuckles; use split-pins or seizing wire through the openings of the barrel and the small holes in the bolt ends. "
No help to the OP but I pop in when I see someone having a "garage sale". I have loads of split pins and spring washers. For pennies.
