Southampton Boat Show.

Wotcha all,
Anyone going to the Southampton boat show?
Should all of us that are going wear something about our person so we can spot each other?
If so what?


I have a yellow balaclava with 'Sid' written just above the eye slit that my mum knitted for me when I first told her I was getting a boat. Do you think any of you would recognise me?

Your suggestions on dress code please

I'll be there, I've got a baseball cap with a windsurf on the peak, I'll change the sail for the mobo burgee and wear a pair of rubber gloves only.....

Dunno which day, but usggest some of us meet up for a cheeky half..........

I am gonna spend it on wine, women and song, and blow the rest.........

I'll be wearing a 'Dirty Nelly' baseball cap, companied with my 'viking' beauty.
Not picked a day to visit yet! any ideas?

You may be more recognisable if your attire is as per your photo - minus the multi-gym, of course. I'll bet there would be no shortage of volunteers to chauffeur the Sunseeker limo through the back gate if you were a passenger again.

It's the 13th to the 22nd September, but the 13th is a preview day.

As it happens you can find me, for your sins, on stand A70, which National Boat Shows inform me, is opposite a bar. As a meeting place there may be worse, it's in the first tent on the way in, so an early stop or a late stop. Maybe I could put up a board for visitor notes...back at 3.30 type thing.

I there will also be a ybw place below the Post house as usual, certainly they have the banner on the wall of the hotel, but I don't know what they're doing this year.

We do have that facility...it's called the bar on the side of the Holiday Inn (aka Post House) and we'll be there for the duration so you can come in and by us all drinks. You won't find us in the exhibition catalogue because we are technically offsite but we'll be there.
