I found I had A.G.Woodcare bookmarked. Look under "bleaches and acids" and youll find oxalic acid.

Oxalic acid originally comes from the Oxalis family of plants which includes rubarb. It is poisonous if ingested. You can get it from High St chemists, but you may be asked to sign the poisons register

Some have found that High Street pharmacists are reluctant to supply oxalic acid to persons they do not know hence the regular requests on the forum for sources of supply.

Does the average high st. pharmacist even stock it? Unless it has some medicinal use I would have thought it unlikely.

Most treatments for household decks...wood bleaches... contain oxalic acid....which travels thru skin and makes nasty crystals in kidneys.......wear gloves and don't inhale!
