Well i have at last sold my boat and got the money, this has not been an easy task by any means. My boat was in fantastic condition and i still struggled to sell it in this current market, it has been a real roller coaster ride for the past 6 weeks.
I did have to do a couple of minor things that the buyers survey picked up on like new fire extinguishers that were getting close to their date, new hour readers on the flybridge as it was difficult (but not impossible) to read the hrs (common fault) and a new holding tank gauge that was a bit temperamental apart from this the boat was mint.
I also had to reduce my boat to be one of the cheaperst in europe and it was the cheapest Fairline Phantom 40 in the uk and i still had to take a bid on this reduced price.
All i am saying is if you REALLY want to sell your boat you need to be very realistic with the price especially with all the cheap med boats about, anyway i am now sold and can move on
cheers shawn
