I caught a rope in the summer and thought it was dealt with by my rope cutter.

I partially was but I have pulled the boat out now and have been able to inspect further. The part that was fixed to the p bracket has been ripped out leaving a tear in the brass.

Is this possible to be repaired or do I need to replace the p bracket?

Image shows damage. Last image shows the starboard p bracket as an example of bit that has been ripped out of the starboard engine

Fitting a new block would not be worth an insurance claim. The fact that it pulled out probably means that there is no damage to the P bracket itself nor the fastening to the hull, but best to check anyway particularly inside. Replacing a P bracket is definitely an insurance job!

Suggest you talk to Robin Shaw here ropestripper.com as it may be possible to fit another block on the other side of the P bracket. Send him your photos. He designed and makes the cutter.
Awesome. Will do!
