If you search for radar arches there are quite a few threads on here, including one which I built, you may find them helpful.
does that include to materialsCheers. I found someone locally who can weld, showed him the plans and discussed it with him, and we agreed on 1300, which is around what I initially thought it would cost like.
Think we'll attack it in the spring, I'll update then.
( dont wish to be pedantic , but ) all electric welding is " arc " welding . obv , TIG is the ideal for this job but stick ( mma ) is poss if you are an experience and good welder . another major issue which has not been mentioned is distortion , big prob with SS . also , all arc welding will need to be pollished / pickled / w h y to look decent .That's not arc welding. The guy would have to be magician to weld like that with a stick welder. That is TIG welding. Stainless steel is hard to weld. Arc welding works best on thick gauge milld steel. To weld stainless steel, you need a shield gas. Tig welding is normal practice for a proffesional welder where aesthetic are important. You simply cannot achieve that kind of weld on thin wall stainless steel with an arc welder.
No, materials are extra. But I buy them myself. He'll bend, weld and install it for the price. But he said it does include the solarpanels.does that include to materials
