Soft shackle recommendation please

Cow hitch SC onto an eye spice would be my preference.

There are lots of options, but unfortunately a cow hitch will reduce the strength of the soft shackle. This is not always important because they are immensely strong, but there are applications such as attaching the snubber to G70 chain when there is need to maximise strength.

I'd recommend a 2-part solution:


First, a Continuous Loop in 6 or 8mm Dyneema. Length to suit convenience.

This is fastened around the chain using a Prusik Knot and pulled tight. Cost under £5. Easy to DIY. This is likely to fray and chafe, so have a spare or two.


Second, a robust Soft Shackle.

This is looped through the s/s eye in the snubber and also through the Prusik Loop.
