Father used clean, open "Kity Kat" Tins.
I "inherited" his collection of brass screws recovered from my first cadet dinghy that was burned to recover the screws. It was the 50s though and China just produced tea.

I believe he meant at that time China produced only Tea, not everything on Amazon as it does today.

I think China produced tea about 3000 yrs ago, I don't think kity kat was around then.
Cylon ( now Sri Lanka) tea seemed to be popular in uk around the 50's
