Smal storage cases for tools.

I have a fair few smaller tools/gadgets that I would like to find cases for. Things like my Ctek charger and my Irodo gas solder iron that came without cases. I don't want to spend a fortune on Pelicase stuff. Anyone know where I might find cheap smallish hinged plastic boxes that latch shut. A quick look on ebay comes up with mostly old Makita etc drill cases - these are too large.

Tupperware boxes would do at a pinch I suppose, but handled case would be preferable.

Good Point, when I go to a Wholesaler all they seem to offer are Plastic Stanley Toolboxes, I would pay double for something of better quality.
 
I have three toolboxes on board. One decent one for tools and two nasty cheap ones for bits & pieces. The grotties are still going strong after eighteen years in spite of my repeated attempts to destroy them. They do the job but give no pleasure.
 
I've got 3 I bought from Aldi a few years ago. Only a couple of quid each, and they do exactly what you describe. Aldi are quite random with this sort of stuff, but may be worth a look.
 
Here's my tool collection, in their boxes. Those clear plastic boxes are Really Useful Boxes, well named, and available online in more than 20 different sizes and configurations. I recommend hem. The green plastic tray is Lucy's Houseware, and has my most used stuff. Everything stacks neatly and fits under my seat at the table - except the box of Bosch stuff that goes under a v-berth.

I use an ammunition box, the type with the hinged lid, that holds the ammunition for belt-fed machine guns. I find it perfect for general hand tools - spanners, screwdrivers, pliers etc. Waterproof, airtight seal, no damp salty air causing problems. Might be useful for some of the OP's requirements?

+1 if you can find one. I also use a variety of sizes of plastic food boxes from Wilkinsons.
 
My youngest is an engineer for a well known Southampton Marine Engineering company and is required to visit many high end craft. He uses tool bags as a matter of course for fear of damaging the veneers as he passes through the living areas to the engine rooms.
Might be worth considering.

Same supplier also makes the waterproof Lock & Lock ones that clip tightly around all four sides and have a seal. I'm using them both for food storage and for tools and electronics that can't get wet (pocket oscilloscope, the higher end multimeter, USB drives, etc.). Tupperware with the lids only held by friction are rubbish, as the lids tend to come off and you can't squeeze things in either.
 
I use the Really Useful Box's as well. Strong and clamp shut well. Variety of sizes means I can pack them in cupboards tightly to prevent movement at sea.

B&M stores stock a limited range but are very cheap.
