SIMRAD VHF CD

Although it's welcome to get a free CD, it would be even more welcome if it didn't come up with an error message when I tried to run it.

When I went to DSC/Distress, I got an error message (never seen before) of:- VHF has caused an error in QUARTZ.DLL.

I didn't try it any further. If it's that good, I may just add it to my "shy talk" bird scarer!

Anyone else get an error message - or just me???

It worked fine for me on Windows Millenium (Me). However I tried a free ChartNav demo CD and that would not work, but it ran fine in the office on Windows NT. There are so many variants of Windows now, and these guys do not try every version!

Worked fine for me, but...

...I didn't think the CD really took full advantage of the opportunity to promote Simrad and the VHF features. It was really very boring.

Worked OK for me in Win 98 - no problem.

I think it is only intended to outline today's VHF/DSC for those who are not sure how it works - not meant to be highly technical.
