I'm looking for a manufacturer of Sigma 33 deck decals, good quality and as close to the original as possible, any recommendations?

I replaced the vinyl coachroof graphics on a Sigma 38 a few years ago. I was unable to find a signmaker who had these on their computer but there may be some one close to Northney that made them for Marine Projects.
I took a roll of detail paper ( cheap form of tracing paper used by architects etc. for sketching) taped it over the old graphics on a dry non windy day and made a tracing with a felt tip, the more difficult bit was the lettering. I also took some photos. The tracing was quite rough but I took it to my local signwriter who scanned it in to their computer, I had to match the colours, two shades of grey plus a red, from their vinyl rolls but the computer smoothed out all the wrinkles to perfection and was able to hand the design for the other side. They regarded it as straightforward compared to some van graphics. After cleaning off the old graphics and polishing the surface I used masking tape to set a true base line, sprayed the grp with a water mist and CAREFULLY placed the vinyl. I had help with positioning as the stripes are quite long. The shadow left by the old graphics on the grp helps with setting out. I think I was charged around £50 for the vinyl and cutting but this was a keen price even then. The boat looked like new and I would recommend it even if you were selling.
Well worth doing particularly if yours is a faded red one.

Now I have read your previous post I realize that you may not have anything left to trace, if you still have, you can get detail or tracing in 300mm. wide rolls, use a fine about .5-.9mm. felt tip drawing pen and plenty of tape.
I still have a large format monochrome roll feed inkjet plotter here and I think I may have some Sigma logos in my CAD programme so it may be possible to assemble a fairly accurate full size template from this if your signmaker wont. (I was an architect who owned a Sigma 33 and later a 38) However I do not have a vinyl cutter though I have cut some simple lettering such as ssr nos. with a modelling knife. If you are unable to find something better I might be able assist with setting out the stripes and lettering to scale from rough template and pics. but you would still have to get it scanned and cut.

Evening Ive got a 362 and I want to do the same as you perhaps we could share costs.
Re the removal of existing material I have used a mixture of hot air gun, steam as in wall paper stripper and a very flexible stripping knife. This only disturbs the surface but when you wipe the area with Acetone the exposed adhesive soon dissolves. Needless to say No Smoking Fresh air, dispose of safely etc.
Unfortunately the Hull has been protected where this marking has been and will have eroded less than the rest of the GRP so in certain light conditions the original markings will be visible as they are minutely higher.
Re getting new markings made, have done traced drawings. Photos etc but no one interested, perhaps in today's world they might be

Yes please may we both please take advantage of your offer.
I'm sure although each boat has its own ID and size, it wouldn't be to hard to manipulate your data to match each of our boats
Thanks
Keith

What's the price for a Sigma 362 set of decals Andy?
Pop aboard Zephyr for a look as we need some too!
Inside trader on C pontoon may be easier to access and may want a set as well as all the 362's are about the same age.
