Whats the best way to stretch them>
I've replaced a number of fixings with bungees where possible. Makes 'shifting canvas material' much easier to manage..Use bungee cords instead of those "lift the dot" things where possible is my advice!
This is interesting since I really fancy making the covers for my rear deck enclosure. (I have a couple of other Traders to help for measuring etc). Do you have a link or source for the material?I'm afraid that this is a fact. Covers shrink. That's one of the reasons that I have taught myself how to make replacements. I also bought myself a decent sewing machine, capable of handling the thick canvas material - machine is a Sailrite and well worth the cost. I also use a PVC material that I have sourced for a good price. It is the same material that Princess use in their white covers. Less susceptible to shrinking and easy to work with.
I suggest that you start with this link on my experienceThis is interesting since I really fancy making the covers for my rear deck enclosure. (I have a couple of other Traders to help for measuring etc). Do you have a link or source for the material?
