Shrinking Covers

Mine stretch when soaked with water so My suggestion would be, if it's the same fabric, to soak the cover put it under tension (so it can't contract) and allow to dry.. Not a scientific knowledge, just from experience with my flybridge cover that is very difficult to get on fully when dry, but eases when wet.

I had the windows in my canopy canvas replaced which resulted in a better fit. Perhaps the windows shrink not just the canvas.
But prior to the new windows, as said , wetting the canvas helps with fitting.

I'm afraid that this is a fact. Covers shrink. That's one of the reasons that I have taught myself how to make replacements. I also bought myself a decent sewing machine, capable of handling the thick canvas material - machine is a Sailrite and well worth the cost. I also use a PVC material that I have sourced for a good price. It is the same material that Princess use in their white covers. Less susceptible to shrinking and easy to work with.

This is interesting since I really fancy making the covers for my rear deck enclosure. (I have a couple of other Traders to help for measuring etc). Do you have a link or source for the material?
