Bravo drives, what do you mean by X-dim? Sorry haha, it weighs 2750Kg light. It's just normal GRP layup.
Well, 2.75T is atually pretty light, for a GRP hull like that. I had a Fountain 27' which was 2.35T with a single 496HO.

"X-dim" stands for "X dimension", and it's the distance between the keel bottom and the engine crankshaft centerline.
I was asking because in most outdrive speedboats, the engine/outdrive is installed in such way that the prop is higher than normal, thus working in a semi-surface mode, with a much lower drag.
For instance, in a standard installation of the Bravo outdrive, with the cavitation plate aligned with the keel bottom, the X-dim is 13" 1/2.
But in that boat of mine, it was 19", just to give an idea.
Mind, it's not an easy thing to measure, but it's usually reported in the build sheet, whenever the installation doesn't stick to the standard - which is very likely, in a 75 knots boat.

Btw, since you mentioned that you just bought her - with apologies if I'm teaching you how to suck eggs:
There's a significant number of reports on 525 headers developing internal cracks in the s/steel, leading to lethal raw water reversion inside the engine.
Did you have them pressure checked? If not, I'd strongly suggest to do that asap, and take it as a habit, at least yearly.
Besides, I hope when you bought her they told you that the Merc 525 is not CE-compliant...?

Great shots, especially Newtown and the bay... Abercombe?

Bet he drinks "Carling Black Label."

As has been correctly guessed already by LJS the bay was indeed Babbacombe Bay just round from Torquay. Lunch at the Cary Arms, said hello to a huge Seal and hand fed it Mackrel then back round to Torquay in time to see the Red Arrows. Days don't get a lot better.

Beer and Crisps was taken up the river Fal, a gorgeous setting. Just for the record you can't beat wearing socks. There's something about wiggling your toes inside nice dry socks. I'm a very strange bloke indeed :)

Incidentally loved your bit on the P98 !

Henry :)

Hmmm, worrying, me too. On warmer beach holidays, I often go without socks just for the pleasure of putting a new pair back on as a luxury. :o

P98? Good tiny trip and experience, as nice as it was, I wouldn't want one, just too big for two peeps to handle.

It really does need a professional crew minimum 4. :hopeless:

Roger.

We saw you at the Red Arrows display in Torquay, although you wouldn't have had any idea we came around from Dartmouth on my sons boat! A great day.

And we love Babbacombe, rather too many days sat outside the Carey Arms, the view must be one of the best of any pub in the country.

Not favourite image, but one of the old boat I could find easily,

Ok, few pics here.

First is Humu Humu with her sailing boat friends in CYH. In a bit of a corner and next day was my first day single handed...

Another angle. Not the easiest of day #1 of single handed.
