Well, 2.75T is atually pretty light, for a GRP hull like that. I had a Fountain 27' which was 2.35T with a single 496HO.Bravo drives, what do you mean by X-dim? Sorry haha, it weighs 2750Kg light. It's just normal GRP layup.
"X-dim" stands for "X dimension", and it's the distance between the keel bottom and the engine crankshaft centerline.
I was asking because in most outdrive speedboats, the engine/outdrive is installed in such way that the prop is higher than normal, thus working in a semi-surface mode, with a much lower drag.
For instance, in a standard installation of the Bravo outdrive, with the cavitation plate aligned with the keel bottom, the X-dim is 13" 1/2.
But in that boat of mine, it was 19", just to give an idea.
Mind, it's not an easy thing to measure, but it's usually reported in the build sheet, whenever the installation doesn't stick to the standard - which is very likely, in a 75 knots boat.
Btw, since you mentioned that you just bought her - with apologies if I'm teaching you how to suck eggs:
There's a significant number of reports on 525 headers developing internal cracks in the s/steel, leading to lethal raw water reversion inside the engine.
Did you have them pressure checked? If not, I'd strongly suggest to do that asap, and take it as a habit, at least yearly.
Besides, I hope when you bought her they told you that the Merc 525 is not CE-compliant...?
