No connection just a satisfied customer - well, non-customer really.

My 15 month old Raymarine P70 autopilot head suddenly died and I spoke to Raymarine who said it would have to be returned to them. As i was away from home, printing out RMA forms and posting it wasn't an easy option so I decided to return it via MBBH who were the nearest Ray service agent.

They didn't sell it to me, I have never been there before but i was treated courteously and given time and help, especially when we struggled to find evidence of the warranty registration! Although they weren't going to make a penny from the work, they sent it back to RM straight away and phoned me a few days later to say the replacement was back with them (in case i was still in the area, so i could collect it).

I have arranged fora courier to collect it but they have declined to make a handling charge so all in all i thin they have behaved impeccably with the principle of putting the customer first. Well done!
 
Agreed. When I was refitting (More like totally rebuilding) our SCOD in the yard there, they were nothing but helpfulness. It's a long hike round for us but if I'm passing I call in to buy things and they are as courteous and helpful as ever. IIRC the main man is Gavin.
