In anticipation of my imminent proposed Grand Tourisimo of the Thames,SWHMBO has purchased all sorts of power hungry stuff, without which, under no circumstances will we be leaving home.(TV/DVD player etc). Are all shore power cables the same or are some cunningly different so you have to have a small collection.I ask only cos my local caravan shop has got assorted cables with big blue lumps at each end,and the prices start at 5.99 for a 5 metre one or 10.99 for 10 metres etc.
Yours etc

2 or 3 shorter ones say about 12m long
( 39.370078 Ft in " PBO / YACHTING MONTHLY " SPEAK )
the longer the heavier the cable will need to be but go for 2.5 sq m/m.
a long cable is prone to tangle & if not "laid loose " will get hot under heavy loadings

Amazing difference between caravan shop prices and boat prices. You seem to need one about half as long again as your boat so that you don't have any stretches and make sure the weight of the boat doesn't come onto the cable instead of your mooring line

Oh that'll be fine - And I'm sorry about the mooring line crack - the way you motorboaties tie up there's probably no need to have your own - just use the ends off someone else's.
I think you should get orange shore power cable though - it goes nice with the blue ends - in a kind of Gulf Corporate sort of way.

Could go to local electrical supplier and purchase bits, and make your own cable.
On last boat had cable that reached shorepower socket, and make an extension cable which could be added if required + various short adapters.
