I have applied on line and been alocated a ships radio licence. And there it sits impossible to print. All I get is a blank page when I request a print. The help page explains IE7 may be the problem but I have followed all the rules and still it wont print.
Anyone else had problems?? and advice please as without it I will miss my fench trip at the weekend. ? /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

If you search this forum for "Ofcom" - you will find loads of posts about problems using the web site. I think its worth a look on here first.

Its an awful site - I remember thinking that 9 months ago when I did mine (and thats after 35 years in the IT industry).

Best advice I can give you is to try to "right click" on the licence link (its a PDF from memory) and then "save" it on your PC. Then you can just print it locally which should be fine.

But search this site first and see what you can find.

All the best.

yes the problem is internet explorer 6 or 7. I have 7. It tells you what to disable in order to print via pdf format. But it does not work. I have tried the memory save and that does not work either. oh ho. Id rather be sailing

I found the following tip, posted by "Lesgargot" a few months back, worked for me.

It is an IE security setting

Go Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom Level>Downloads>File Download>Disable>OK

Then go back to Ofcom and you should get your licence to open as a PDF file to print or save.

Don't you have to wait a few days to receive a password before you can access your license details and print them? As far as I remeber when I did the on-line thing that was the case and it was clearly stated that a password would be provided to allow access. The password was duly received and access/printing wasn't a problem.
