I reckon it's based on an early '50's Watson sidecar. Perfect for the "Birmingham Navy" I would have thought. It would put some of the local canal liveaboards to shame tho'.
I must stand in defence here folks; take that hideous top off, and the hull looks like it might be a reasonable form. Bit of a Dreadnought perhaps with that plumb stem and reinforcements (Grecian battering ram bolt-on included?), but interesting I think.

It does have a look of a steam launch hull. A bit short and lacking in sheer.
