Hello,
I am interested in a Sealine F33 named Falcon but may have been sold previously under the name Dotti. It's for sale with NYA Horning. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Regards
Rob

I don't know the boat but I looked at the written advert.

The boat seems to lack navigation equipment , doesn't even have a vhf.
So does that indicate it has probably always been on the broads and has been nowhere at speed? This is not necessarily good for items like turbochargers.

The absence of navigation kit might be a bonus as previous ancient kit doesn't have to be removed an no unsightly holes to cover up with usually more compact modern equipment.
Engine bay looks like it needs a good clean. The engine coolant reservoirs are stained so perhaps coolant change is overdue .

Check trim tabs and outdrive trim are working as they might not have had much exercise.

I couldn't see where the engine hours are stated so perhaps the hour counter displays are blank need replacing. I have had to do this on my F33. The new displays from AK Speedo show the correct hours from new. AK Speedo .

What service history is with it including outdrive service history?

The asking price looks very attractive and leaves scope for upgrades

Thanks for the reply.
You are spot on with lack of nav equipment. I have estimated £7.5k-£10k for what I would need for Bristol Channel cruising.
Do you use your F33 on open water? There seems to be a range of views on stability. It doesn't really worry me as I'm used to sloping around in the swell :)

I keep my F33 on the River Trent but we do visit the Humber and Wells Next the Sea.
The boat can be sensitive to a strong side wind. It tends to lean into the wind. So sometimes can need a lot of use of trim tabs.
