Sealant for diesel tank

I have recently installed a new fuel gauge sender in a plastic diesel fuel tank and unfortunately the holes for fixing did not match the screw holes from the old one. The gasket for the new sender covers the old screw holes but I would like to fill them to reduce any chance of leaks.

Can anyone suggest a filler that would not be affected by diesel and also would not affect the diesel in the tank?

Contact Loctite. They make a diesel proof sealant applied in the same way as Sikaflex. Sorry I cant remember the code for it.
The Seals Direct people can supply a nitrile rubber in sheet form that can be used as a diesel proof gasket.

Cargo Quicksteel (It sets within an hour)
Try this stuff, it's available from washing machine repair wholesalers and retailers and it does work in liquid including diesel and petrol!

Think it's about £5 a pack, I've bought some to keep on my boat just incase.
