I was talking to one of the Contractors at Port Solent today and he was very keen on the Peller Clean product for saildrives/outdrives/propellers.

Has anyone used this product? If so, any comments?

Not used it but I was very impressed by the Jotun prop kit which a friend used. This was put on in Trinidad and 2 years later the boat had never been out of the water. The antifouling was worn right through in patches. But when I helped the owner change anodes under water I was amazed to see the props were absolutely spotless.

I believe you can get this in the UK, with a bit of difficulty and it's not cheap. No idea if the Seajet product is better or worse.

Yes I have, followed all the preparation and application instructions, applied to a bronze 3 blade fixed propellor, lasted 2 months!! not what I expected.

I'll add to that: put it on mid Mar 09 carefully folwing the insructions. Boat came out of water at the end of Jun 09 and the stuff had disappeared from over 50% of the prop. In those three months the engine had been used for about 2 hours @ 6 knots! Won't be using it again.

Peller Clean works - Swear by it!

I use Peller Clean and swear by it.
Preparation is crucial to putting it on properly. Clean and dry, sanded area, using the first 2 combo prep paint then wait and then apply over coat.
Mine has stayed on for the past 8 months.
I use it for our Hydrofoil system as the boat stays in the water and I have had no degradation in performance what so ever. Other boat owners who use it here in Hong Kong have had no trouble with it. It keeps their gear clean. Absolute god send! Love the stuff and will continue to use it.
