From the "I watched it so you don't have to" lockdown video department...
This popped up on Amazon Prime. It's a documentary about a German guy's trip from New Zealand to Patagonia on his 120' ferro yacht with a crew of "miscreants", "vagabonds", blah blah which you know from the outset is going to be a bit annoying in being "awesome" every few minutes. Plot summary: They leave new zealand, stop in Antarctica for a few hours of penguin worrying without any permits, bump in Sea shepherd's the Steve Irwin who ask them to pretend to be them to distract the Japanese (the main interesting bit of the film), have some engine trouble, then go to chile. And everything is awesome all the time with a narrator with a nasal californian accent, interspersed with a many deep quotes in white text against a black background. It seems the crew of "miscreants" were acquired through small ads but it's not clear whether they're paying guests or what.
This seems to be a youtube channel complete with lots of obligatory speeded up sequences put into a thankfully-less-than-an-hour-and-a-half feature format. The "miscreants" are very photogenic but the scuttlebutt dirty-old-straight-man demographic will be disappointed at them all being male. This doesn't seem to be related to the equally self-hyping "Sea Gypsy tribe of tomorrow" thread on the liveaboard forum a few years back.
In fairness there's some nice visuals (although I hate that speeded up video thing) which elevate it a bit above the average youtube vid but it all seems a bit self indulgent and pointless. YMMV. And maybe I'm just having a bad day. Alternate views from those who've seen it appreciated.
