Scuttlebutt Solent to Poole Cruise - 26/27/28 April 2013

Meet at Berthon Lymington Friday 26th April. Deposits of £5 required payable to me.
Sail to Poole Quay Saturday 27th April
Clear off to home ports / onward journeys at your leisure Sunday 28th April onwards

Boats leaving Chichester calling at East Cowes marina on Thursday 25th April - possible meal in Lifeboat pub

Please register your interest for this. If the weather is **** we'll fall back into a drinking and eating regime.

This event is ideal for novices looking for a first passage which can be made in the company of more experienced skippers in similar sized sailing vessels. Bigger vessels welcome, but you'll have to wait for us.

PhillM is producing a Spotter's Guide, so you will need to send him information and an image of your boat.

I hope Colhel is coming, as we'll need a raffle.

Please register your interest for this. We don't have a date yet, but as soon as Phillm gets a 2013 almanac we'll let you know. Start point not yet decided, but could be a mix of Yarmouth/Lymington/Hurst with a crossing to Poole the next day which would be a Saturday. If the weather is **** we'll fall back into a drinking and eating regime.

Yep, pencil us in again.

Thanks Ru88ell for starting the thread.

I will look into tides / dates / options in a week or so, but I'm happy if anyone beats me to it :)

Am happy to do the spotters guide again. Was it useful? Anything I should change?

Helen and I will be there again... in spite of the risk of fairer weather causing more sailing to interfere with the eating and drinking regime set this year. :D!

That said, we're now 40 feet, and with berthing fees to match, more sailing and less parking might be a good thing!

Surely you could offset the berthing fees by charging entry to the party on board your massive new yacht?

Simon, do you have davits? If so I could pop Booby up in them to keep her out of the nasty wet stuff and save a bit on the mooring fees! :D
