SCrubbing grids near Falmouth

Re: Scrubbing grids near Falmouth

Scrubbing grid?....dunno about grids but the Royal Cornwall has a wall /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You could always contact the Pandora Inn, and check what their pontoons will take :-)....give you summut to do while the water drains out as well /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Don't be tempted by the two posts on the pipeline in the marina...they won't help! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Scrubbing grids near Falmouth

lost a 3rd engineer in falmouth once, found him asleep in a phone booth next morning, phone still in hand. I assumed he had his brain fried by the local jungly juice - or had been abducted by aliens and recently returned.

took a few days for him to get his wits about him again and by that time he had fogotton all about it.

I dried out alongside near the wide slipway (overlooked by Trago Mills). The harbour master found me a spot when I had to do some repairs.

There is a grid at Mylor, but a bit big for you I think. I've dried against the wall alongside the car park outside the south side of Town Quay, by Trago back door, also on the upriver side of Greenbank quay, ask the Hotel first. Trago is best because they sell useful scrubbing/painting accoutrements, and you get some sun.

That's the one!

Whilst we were waiting for the tide to come in we spent half an hour watching a seal playing by one of the fishing boats. It was obviously a regular visitor and it spent half the time studiously examining a small crowd on the Quay, watching it! It "stood" vertically in the water and was applauding the crowd by "clapping" it's flippers; I'm sure it realised what it was doing. It earnt itself a few fish from the boat. Lovely sight.

The seal was probably Sammy.

When he is bored he swims gently through Port Pendennis Marina ducking under the main pontoon at the end. Have seen him several times from the Museum Lookout.
