She's been alongside in Lowetoft for about 3 weeks now. We had a good look as we motored past and she is looking very shabby and care-worn. I hope she gets a good refit and paint.
My sister, who sails and does watch leading on both the Jubilee Sailing Trust ships (the other being Tenacious), was in Lowestoft a few days ago helping with the maintenance.
As Roger says, she was built in Wivenhoe, and was one of the last ships to be launched there. She was taken round to Southampton to be finished, which is why there is a common misconception that she was built in Soton. But really she's an Essex girl.
