Used to get very formidable ladies of punamic proportions in swim suits ,now yachting holidays……..what’s that for?
Anyone else seeing a large amount of saucy lady ads ‘between’ threads on the forum?
I’m worried it’s just me due to algorithmic profiling based on ‘other’ websites I may have inadvertently visited by complete mistake.
To the mods: whilst the ladies in question have the most pleasing countenances, I’m not sure they’re in keeping with the noble tradition of sailing and I’m worried some of our younger more easily led members may be lured by these sirens into dubious and immoral behaviour.
Are you sure it was by "mistake"? Nod, nod, wink wink.Anyone else seeing a large amount of saucy lady ads ‘between’ threads on the forum?

An outrageous suggestion! I demand satisfaction (no, not that sort). Very pistols at dawn? Are you sure it was by "mistake"? Nod, nod, wink wink.
Not sure Very sell pistols on their web site, so I shall have to decline. An outrageous suggestion! I demand satisfaction (no, not that sort). Very pistols at dawn?

Is that absolutly true? Yesterday on this site I was getting adverts for conservatory roofs and I have never needed to look at them.haha someone has been googling stuff on your pc or another one with the same gmail account . Its based on what you been looking at previously .
A lot of it is about putting you in a category; for example, older male with outdoor interests and disposable income. It isn't about your specific interests; it's about putting you into a category which is generally likely to purchase the goods advertized. Is that absolutly true? Yesterday on this site I was getting adverts for conservatory roofs and I have never needed to look at them.
Today I am getting 'The IWC watch' which I have no interest in and have never heard of. I live alone, no-one has access to my PC.
As an experiment I will now google 'ladies blouse' and see what that brings up, ( oh Matron ).
It's only when the pop-ups are about arsenic, remaindered carpet and shovels that you need to worry. The only adverts I see these days are for pre-paid funeral plans.
Maybe my wife has been searching on such things, in hope and expectation.
IPC? It went to Time Inc years ago and is now Future? No use complaining to the moderators - such things are chosen by algorithm by an advert supplier who has no connection with IPC beyond a sales contract. The adverts are chosen based on your previous browsing history; as others have said, if you don't want to see them, install an ad-blocker. However, an increasing number of sites detect ad blockers and deny access to the site unless you disable it!
Thanks - I don't bother to keep up with corporate ownership!IPC? It went to Time Inc years ago and is now Future?
I get quite enough ads for "extensions" as it is!Instal an ad blocker extension to your browser, that should fix it?
