As mentioned elsewhere recently, I had the full-on treatment from Richard at Sanda the other day. I think he's done wonders down there, the beer is great and the facilities he's built are good, but, man, can he talk, and either he's paranoid or everyone IS out to get him, including the cops flying in by chopper to check that he's not opening after hours. We used the approach of 2300 to leg it, and I usually believe that it's rude to leave a bar until you're asked to.
The debris washed down the rivers into the Firth on Tuesday was horrific. We encountered a line of drifting logs, bushes, a kiddies tractor, 3 footballs, and any amount of junk, that went on for miles. We also saw individual trees and logs. On Wednesday evening, all this seemed to have found it's way into Lamlash Bay. We got a branch stuck in the outboard on the way ashore, and in the morning the bay was full of large floating junk, not to mention the huge amont of rubbish.
