Does anyone have anything positive to say about Samurai Diesel Conversions? I have done a search of the forums and all I can find is people having problems. I am in the process of swapping my engine and IMHO I can not see how this company keeps trading. They must either be very busy and don't need customers, or about to go under, I can't tell which.

The product seems excellent, but the service is not. This is definately NOT a 'turn-key' product. I am having nothing but problems.

A quick look on the Companies House website shows them as having been reborn just a couple of years ago under a slightly different name. Did they go bust?

Any comments good or bad would be gratefully received.

A big thankyou for all those who have sent private messages. I now wished that I had asked this question on the forum before I made my choice.

Please keep the comments comming, I would also like to hear if anybody has anything good to say.

My concern would be for the engines they sell.As far as I know they are from the USA military service exchange pool from Hummers. The very fact that they are yanked out of vehicles and chucked in the rebuild pile means that each and every one has a big problem or two.
Its gonna take considerable engine checking skills to inspect and sort all the problems it may have before rebuilding and then need considerable testing to make sure its totally sorted, I imagine their warranty claims will be above average IMHO.
