I've always managed to make the guy see sence in the past and finished up with a reasonable price. But this weekend he wanted 43p and harped about harbour charges and costs. With diesel at 27p in Torquay and Plymouth he's not going to have customers for long.

I agree with you in full,

If I get diesel off a truck I will pay 18-22p a liter, ok lots of the stuff but a fair discount !

In a marina I am prepared to pay for some profit/service say 25 to 30 p but no more !

This stuff is tax free but not profit free.

In Belguim I pay about 20 p off a lorry and 45 p from a marina !
