Top tips for fellow boaters with pooches
Having tried newspaper, astroturf and gravel our "pampered pooch", Pippin, 3, only likes to "go" on real turf. We grow a new one in a seed each year. Saves midnight trips to shore in a windy anchorage

Haven't got it to hand but I am sure I have a photo somewhere of Pippin sitting on the "turf" - if this would be of use let me know.
Second top tip - dog lifejacket with a handle - ideal for moving boat from dingy to boat !
