Try not to become a YouTube star like these people ... your charter boat will probably have a big sticker on it which will tell you if it will fit below the Ždrelac bridge between the islands of Ugljan and Pašman - very tempting to try because it is a short-cut through to the Kornati National Park - but it won't end well if the mast is too high.

Otherwise, head to the Kornati Islands there are loads of anchorages and the scenery is beautiful.

Try and do the passage through the Kornati islands. We chartered out of Zadar went down to Murter then Tribunj before going through the Kornati islands (there is a marina half way down which we didn't stop at) and ended up on the island of Zut.

Fabulous part of the world.

Thank you very much for your reply, I would be very grateful if you could recommend a week long cruise that would include beautiful marinas and coves

There isn’t a single recommended route for such a cruise, it wholly depends on you, the weather, your boat, the crew, etc. I suggest you get a Croatia Pilot and make your own plan. That said, there are hundreds of lovely sheltered spots to anchor, or take a mooring buoy. Further south you go the more populated it is, but still very beautiful.

But incredibly busy in high season for exactly that reason! On one of our visits we sailed up the river and arrived at Skradin with a cold engine. On another we sailed both directions! www.mjcoon.plus.com>page37.htm
There’s a really nice restaurant called Konoba Vidrovaca to the right just before you get to Skradin. Last time I went the pontoon at the restaurant was free to use, the food excellent and they have a RIB to take you to the National Park trip boat - for which you do have to pay. Cheaper than the ACI Marina. It used to be possible to anchor near the marina but not sure if this is still the case. Anyway , Krka Falls are well worth a trip and I was blown away by how stunning Kornati is having not been there before. Sadly I missed out on Telascica but will do this next time.

Still there, 5* reviews in June 2023 so a good suggestion!

Worth mentioning that last time I visited, there was quite a hefty fee for doing the Kornati Islands passage. It's according to boat size, and would have been around €90 for me.
