RYA Level 2 Powerboat course- Solent

I would like to take this course. Can anyone recommend a school in the Solent?

This worked well for us, admittedly quite a few years ago:

RYA Powerboat Level 2 Mendez Marine Powerboat Training

It does help if the boat you train on isn’t massively different to what you are operating, although PB2 training opportunities on a Princess S72 are going to be limited

I did this course with Tec Rec Coaching at Southampton Drystack. I thought the instructor was very good. They use 2 RIBs.

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but is it possible to get PB2 on your own boat? My wife and son want to do the course together, and I think it'd be beneficial for them to learn on our boat rather than a rib?

Yes it is - I did mine on my own boat with Aquasafe.

Yes . I used Lymington sea school

I was happy with Solent Boat Training - they do a good deal if you want to do the VHF course too

I also used Solent Boat Training...They were very good...it was approx 3yrs ago.
