Where did I read the French invented bureaucracy and the Spanish embraced it or suchlike words? Clearly if you opt for Spanish residency I can see compliance required but as a uk national passing though it doesn’t seem relevant. Much like bureaucracy of owning Spanish property .

I read somewhere that Spain is increasing tax on foreign purchase of property ??

Spanish regulations one reason some people are reflaggingunder Polish Flag…..if I read the refs correctly my sailing would take place in zone 4 maximum 12 miles offshore so will not require a life raft…….but Icould be wrong

#1 says - "all boats Spanish flagged or not" so Polish or any other flag wouldn't exempt it from complying. If in Spain, I would be tempted to have a rubber stamp to update life raft log book.

Portuguese safety equipment regs. apply to any boat here for >6 months, whatever the nationality but, exempt from surveys which apply to local boats only.
