You are one true hard sailing sailor Roger of that I have no doubt
You push that boat as properly and as hard- if not harder- than I ever pushed my Rustler 36!

The boat Concerto is fantastic

With the sagacity of a arm chair unsolicited advisor to your amazing achievements may I say..
If I would add ONE thing it would be a self steering wind vane
And sell it again in the future if unused !
( and a third maybe a deep deep 4th reef)

Love reading and viewing the photos thank you

Today has been terrible weather here, something big and yellow appeared in the sky and made it warm, I even had to take my sweatshirt off.

Well this morning I had a word with one of the team from the harbour office to see if I could get the autopilot tiller arm fixed. He suggested someone who was working on a trawler. Had a chat and he said no problem. Well it was more of a problem than he expected. The 6mm bolt I gave him was the wrong size, it should have been 7mm. He did not have any 7mm bolts, but he could have used some 8mm s/s studding and turned it down. Instead he used an 8mm bolt and enlarged the hole in the arm. This should last longer than the one that broke he said. When he told me the price I gladly paid it, all of £10! I offered more but he refused.

This afternoon I went out on my bike and visited the local pottery shop and then went for a ride on both sides of the loch, plus an inland loch that had a large area of waterlilies that were just starting to flower. Last night I was going to use the drone, but instead I loaded the 2nd video. I did post on a separate thread, but if you missed it this is the link.

Late afternoon I went drone flying and took lots of video and some photos.

It can be a bit rocky on the approach to Lochinver.

Similar area but a different perspective at Badnaban.

Thank you for the Picture of Badnaban. Brought back memories of a Family Holiday at a Cottage there in the mid sixties ( cant recall the exact Year, I think I was about ten). We towed our Mirror Dinghy up from the Midlands behind a Ford Anglia.

My abiding memory is of my late Mother discovering a love of Sea Angling and spending long hours, pretty much every evening until dusk fell, fishing off those Rocks on the right of the picture.

Very poignant.

Having been to Ullapool with a faulty tiller pilot, I can tell you that the Raymarine agent there is more competent in servicing FV's equipment than yacht electronics.

Don't hold your breath about Ardfern either.
Today I found the cause of the problem with the autopilot. In the new thread tonight I will be discussing it and posting a short video which will explain everything.
