What the difference between a polisher and an angle grinder - or are the cheap ones more or less the same?

A good polisher speed is around the 1200 - 1400 rpm, you need to keep the speed under control to work the compound and avoid excessive heat.

I had a Silverline which was way to heavy, and was advised that the Dodo-Juice was not up to the task, by the manufacturer.

I have a Makita polisher, good unit with great speed control. It's a bit heavy but if you're polishing the hull sides I rig it on a rope to take the weight.
