[/ QUOTE ]Hardly conclusive or, maybe, even a fair representation, but when we were boat hunting for a boat that had been kitted out for blue-water cruising we saw three yachts with Strippers in various stages of disrepair. One had half missing, one was clearly bent out of true and one looked very blunt. Maybe they had all 'died' in active service and laid down their lives for their vessels, or whatever, I don't know, but the majority of boats don't seem to have rope cutters and there are a lot of disc-types out there. We have the Plastimo disc and it went right round the world with the previous owner, and is still in perfect nick. I've no idea how effective it is, though /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
