Riva Aquarama with twin V12\'s

Read the other day that in 1969 Ferruccio Lamborghini had two four-litres V-12's installed in his personal Riva Aquarama. Anyone know any more about this boat?

Re: Riva Aquarama/rivarama

Never heard of it, but if you type riva aquarama lamborghini into google it confirms it. So probly true. They would fit, it's a big enuf engine bay in the aquarama. Does the boat exist still?

Hey, Pauline, 2 weeks ago in Golfe Juan they had a brand new Rivarama, moored up in stock for sale. Totally stunning (and impractical, of course). It was burgundy, which I think is Lust. At first I thort it was brown for gluttony, it certainly looked brown, but dealer said it was definitely burgundy. It looked stunning in the flesh.

Back in the late 80's Steve curtis was racing his cougar Powerboats from hamble point with lambo V12's, dohc per bank, 3 inlet vales and 2 exhaust per pot, hence 60 valve engine, sounded marvelous, the had a cat with 4 of them in, did about 140 mph I think, big big big rooster tail too.

An aquarama with two V12 lambos, now thats what I call a classic motorboat! The mind boggles.

Re: Riva Aquarama/rivarama

Id love to have a look over one.

There was a Riva in Mercury last week - same model at Tommy - but the green/grey Riva colour had been painted bright sky blue and it was GLOSS. Sam took some pics. I'll put them on here when I get home. It looked awful. It's up for sale - the owner wants a Hatteras.

Remember this one from my visit to Mercury in March.. Looked awful and I wondered how anyone could ruin a beautiful looking boat like that....
