Can anyone recommend a company that can install them? We have a fixed concrete 32ft mooring that needs two risers. I would like to avoid paying the EA for putting them into the bed (for which I am a riperian owner) as it will just add to the resentment I have for the two posts on the back of the island that the EA does bugger all to keep clear yet very efficiently invoices for each year (and.... rest....). However, we have a heavy boat and the +/- in height is about 4ft over the course of the year so I need to be realistic.

I have taken to using extra long scaffolding poles. These work splendidly and although EA can ask for a fee for passing them through THEIR water into YOUR land you can just as easily refuse to pay and state you will pull them out.

I'm still uncertain of the legality of their fee because that would make it right for us to ask a fee for their running water over our land. I have heard that many Riparian Owners refused to pay this iniquitous charge.

Riverworks, or as the were originally - Pleece Riverworks, have a wealth of experience as Johnny Pleece (who retains an interest) has been doing this sort of stuff for over 40 years. He even founded Barnard Piling & Dredging
