Are there machanical fitting for the rigging wires for the mast attachments as well?
Or are those typically "swaged"?

Swaged fittings are often refered to as "mechanical" fittings, but if you mean fittings you can fit yourself with just a spanner, then they are marketed under the mames of Norseman and StaLock.

It is not essential to have T-ball or othes specialist fittings on the mast. It is quite possible to have tangs through bolted to the mast. those will then take fork fittings which can be self assembled.
If your mast already has t-ball or similar fittings then the answer is to get your rigging wire supplier to fit the appropriate fitting on one end of the wire and you can self assemble the lower fitting on at the correct position. Several suppliers including Jimmy Green include the fitting within the price of the terminals.
