Reversed polarity when using generator

No, it's like this:

As you can see, Live and Neutral are reversed at the input to the inverter as it swaps them over internally when on shorepower. I have had to remove RCD2 as I cannot set it - it trips instantly with shore power on.
 
From looking at the diagram

The reason the RCD2 trips is that the neutral from the sockets is bypassing it, so it sees an imbalance.
It may not trip if there is nothing plugged into any of the sockets but as soon as you plug something in it will trip
You need to separate the neutral from the sockets and the neutral from the output of RCD2 from the main neutral, join them together and then it will work
